A summer story
About the Story
........................................................................
Every season has a story. But summers in Meadowgrass Village outshine any other story you may have heard.
When more and more butterflies can be seen fluttering around colourful flowers and nestlings are learning to fly, when the sun is warm enough to feel the soft beams caressing your cheeks and the forests and meadows regale you with their symphony of crickets and bees and birds and frogs, when the mountains’ secrets travel downhill with the purest water that flows to reach the river, and the weeds and wildflowers stretch out to touch the sun's rays, it can only mean one thing: summer is about to arrive in Meadowgrass Village.

Characters

Ms Stacey Yarrowbee is a talented florist who crafts and bakes treats infused with the essence of summer. Every morning, awakened by birdsong, Ms Stacey Yarrowbee rides her bike to one of the sunniest corners of Meadowgrass Village, where the little cottage that serves as her cosy shoppe is located.
Lady Freesia Forestwish, owner of Tulipberry Cottage and a dear friend of Ms Yarrowbee, has been a highly respected herbalist for as long as Meadowgrassers can remember. After leaving the lands of the Anamachs on the other side of the mountains, she devoted her life to sharing with her townsfolk everything she learnt about plants and herbs.
Princess Amelia, a member of the Nordloch royal family and heir to the throne of the House of Asterlance, is beloved and respected in all the region for her benevolent ideals. The princess has recently fallen seriously ill, plagued by a mysterious condition that no one has been able to cure.
Lord Vallerin is a senior member of the Council of The Valley and an influential figure in Meadowgrass Village. Despite being in charge of serious matters and having the weight of important affairs pass through his hands, Lord Vallerin always maintains a bright smile. He is known as the heart of the town and plays a pivotal role in organising festivals and events.
Mrs Lindsay Woodlandbird is the village storyteller. You can recognise her by her charming eyes, soothing voice, and incomparable elegance, accentuated by Lady Freesia's unique rose-petal red lipstick. Her enchanting tales transport listeners to magical realms beyond their imaginations.
Mrs Rochelle Flourberry, a culinary sorceress, enchants guests with her heavenly homemade pies, cakes, and bread. Her stuffed bread and chamomile malt are legendary. In her free time, Mrs Rochelle Flourberry collects stationery and enjoys writing letters and reading about enchanted forests and fairy villages.
Mr Christoph Crowharp is a shy gentleman known in the village for his intelligence and kindness. Mr Crowharp surprises everyone when his pet crow flies to him and perches on his shoulder. Every year, overcoming his shyness, he takes centre stage and presents a highly anticipated music spectacle that marks the end of the Festival of Summer Wonders.
Ms Lunacia Moon is in charge of the educational system in Meadowgrass Village. But of course, she also takes care of academic events, cultural exchanges with other towns and, her favourite, reading events at the Tree House library during autumn and winter. There’s no one better than her to write the village gazette!
