Cosy evening routine Homemade self-care recipes

Hello, dear friends,

Welcome back to Fairyblossom Cottage Inn, where delicious food and cosy comforts await you. As the day gently winds down, it’s the perfect time to indulge in a soothing self-care routine that nurtures the body and soul.

Today I am sharing some homemade self-care recipes. These simple, natural, and vegan concoctions are easy to make and perfect for a calming evening routine.

Important:

While I have sensitive skin and have never had any issues with these ingredients, I recommend testing any new product on a small area of your skin first and waiting 24 hours to see if any reaction occurs. If you have never used these ingredients before, please proceed with caution, as individual reactions can vary.

Setting the Scene for a Cosy Evening

Before we begin, let’s set the tone for your cosy evening retreat.

Start by dimming or turning off the lights and choosing a few of your favourite candles to set a warm, inviting ambience. Soft, instrumental music or natural sounds, like a gentle rainfall or a crackling fireplace, can enhance the calming atmosphere, allowing your mind to unwind.

Make sure your space is clean and clutter-free (conscious maximalism doesn't count as clutter!) to promote a sense of calm and order.

Floral-infused water or a cup of herbal tea, such as chamomile or lavender, can be a delightful addition, further soothing your senses and helping you to relax. You can find a recipe below!

Finally, we will create a mini simmer pot, which will transport you to the enchanting Fairyblossom Cottage Inn. The gentle simmering of rosebuds, lemon peels, and lavender combined with fresh rosemary will fill your space with a refreshing, earthy aroma, reminiscent of the inn's kitchen and gardens.

- 3-4 tablespoons dried chamomile flowers

Instructions:

1. Infuse chamomile flowers in boiling water in a heatproof container (just as if you were making tea).

2. Let it steep until cool. You can use it by dipping a clean cloth in the water and patting your skin gently, or by pouring it into a spray bottle.

3. Store in the fridge for a refreshing face and hand mist. Use as needed to hydrate and soothe your skin.
